The very first rendition of this was said to have appeared outside Hungary around 1370 when the French Charles V le Sage, famous for his love of fragrances, received the very first Hungary water. It was well-known across Europe for many centuries after and celebrated as a sort of cologne. What we have available for you is not the original recipe but a much later version of the recipe that was handed down and changed considerably and eventually became associated with a facial astringent. We bring you a much beloved facial astringent said to be based on the original Hungary Water.

Please note that this astringent works with your body’s pH levels. Please know it may sting a little and could leave red marks. But don’t worry, this is normal. After a while of constant use, this astringent will level out your skin’s pH levels. This is a strong astringent and is not recommended for sensitive skin. The stinging and redness will lessen as your skin’s pH levels out.
