NOTE: Product may separate; shake extremely well to combine. (Once combined it will look white like “milk”)

Application: Apply with a cotton ball once or twice a day to cleanse and tone the face. This product is best applied twice a day with our small sponges (found in the shop, see link below) or a cotton ball-no need to wipe or dry off the excess.

NOTE: With cold temperatures, please keep in mind that your milk may be delivered without any milkiness. The milkiness comes from the tincture of Gum of Benjamin and how it’s heated, but no matter how milky we can get it to look, once the finished product hits cold temperatures, the stability of retaining that milky color disappears. If you receive a milk without much milkiness, just know that this is a natural process that happens in very cold weather. It does not change the effectiveness of the product. If you love our “Milk Of Roses”, you will adore our “Milk Of Orange Blossoms”. While “Milk Of Roses” was and is by far the most popular of the cosmetic “milks” in history, others were around as well. “Milk” actually refers to the appearance of the product, and not the ingredients. In our archives, we have many, many references to “toilet milks and skin lotions.” The popularity of specific scents varies throughout history, but orange blossom was one of the few, like rose, that was generally used in all centuries. Historically, the scent of orange blossoms was procured by enfleurage, which is the process of scenting fat with flowers. This technique isn’t used much anymore as it is very, very expensive and labor-intensive. The oil of Neroli, which has similar yet slightly different notes, is extracted by means of steam distillation, and while still expensive, is much less expensive and labor-intensive to create than the enfleurage process.
