Introducing our “new” rouge- a lovely pink coral. We have had a lot of requests for a pink or coral rouge. After some research, I decided to use a historical rouge recipe and historical tints and match the color to various portraits from the time. The color is that of a pinkish coral- very similar to the painting in the last photo. We have many paintings that show the same color. This would be great for the 18th century as well as Victorian and Regency. It is a lovely color. I named it in the traditional naming of historical cosmetics.

Historical Cosmetic Names:
“Retailers and manufacturers (of cosmetics) named their products in association with culturally recognizable symbols of taste and beauty -not famous people of the time. Names like Pommade de Pompadour or Eau de Maire-Antionette did not exist. This was a way retailers could stay away from the current politics.
