A Topical Application for Sore Muscles

New label: This replaces the label with the Regency woman on it. Let’s talk about this new label below!

This topical balm is soothing for sore muscles! Please check out our reviews to see what our customers have been saying. Want even more info? Feel free to email us for more complete listing information. While the recipe comes from writings from a midwife’s diary in the 18th and early 19th centuries, the herbs used were highly written about even back then. This recipe started off as an original tea recipe for the tummy, but with further research into the herbs used, we realized that it could be used for more than the things mentioned on the label. We took an old recipe and updated it, which is pretty cool!

To Use: Warm a little in your hand and massage well. Use as needed. + it smells really good!!

Note: This has unrefined organic shea butter in it, which means you are going to get fat blooms on top. So don’t worry—that is a completely natural process!! Check out our Shea butter to learn more. It’s the same one we use in this recipe!

*We also offer this product in a tin with an “Outlander” inspired label.

Label: We updated this label. So, what you now see is our new label for this wonderful, helpful balm. This replaces the old one with the Regency woman on it. But, we couldn’t resist this original label from our collections. I think it is an early to mid-Victorian label. But I don’t know why the hand was on there or what they were selling. It could have been powder or hand cream of some sort, but I thought it fit with the theme of helping sore and strained parts in including hands and fingers, as we get older. Also, I took an 18th-century engraving of a caduceus, also known as the rod of Asclepius, which was and still is used in the apothecary and in the M-word field as a symbol for “helping people fix issues.” I can’t say the H word, either. Anyway, I hope you like the new label.
