This hair powder can be used on your hair and is tinted with crushed lavender flowers. It has a lovely light natural lavender scent to it. Historically many times, gray powder would have been made with ashes, we chose something that was available historically, and that would smell better.

In the 18th century, specific colored powders were popular. As you can see in the photo, this woman chose the ever-popular gray. Care needs to be taken when applying; make sure you are covered well. This is why the recipients of the powder tended to cover their faces with a large cone and wore a protective apron. Set with hair spray.
