1. This Authentic recipe uses both Cucumber and Neroli to give a lovely fresh scent. A little goes a long way, apply it before bed or in the morning. Use it to clean your face from dirt or cosmetics. This can also be used as a moisturizer.
2. Lola Montez’s Original Recipe for Honey Water For The Hair! The scent is wonderfully charming and not overpowering for both sexes. This hair care method works really well and makes your hair super soft. Historically it was used as a rinse and hair perfume.
3. Although this rouge is a bit early, we included it because of the lovely natural color it gives off. The color is so light and pleasing that it takes many coats to get it to show up. This is a very natural-looking liquid rouge and we think you will enjoy this recipe.
4. There is a common misconception that women didn’t wear cosmetics in the Victorian Period. In reality, because a natural look was all the rage, women had cosmetics to help them achieve that natural look. This light lovely natural tint is just what you are looking for.
5. This pomatum is a soft pomade. It doesn’t have any wax in it. This is an original 1860 recipe and is scented with Rosemary, which was a popular herb to use in various toiletries. Historically it was used in a lot of ointments as well. With flowers and herbs having symbols and secret languages attributed to them, Rosemary was said to promote prudence, common sense, and self-assurance. It was also said to aid in easing head stuff. I can see why rosemary was chosen when you think of the ideology of women at that time.
